PCA hosts skateboard art auction 1st.

A live auction event for the Portage Family Skate Board Art Exhibit was held from 1 to 3 p.m on 8/26/17 at the Portage Center for the arts, 301 E. Cook St., Portage. The event was catered by Pizza Hut of Portage. The skateboard pieces are unique, one-of-a-kind works of art by area artists. There is also a Portage skate park board autographed by Tony Hawk. The highest bids at the close of the silent auction was the starting bids at the live auction. Proceeds will benefit Phase 2 of the Portage Family Skate Park. Each dollar raised will be matched by the Lenz Charitable Trust, up to $37,500. For the first year the PCA and PFSP raised $520.00. Not all the art had the chance to go but look for this event next year and remember get your submissions in early. Look for some new ways to bid next year “online”. Thank you to our sponsors.
