PFSP Rocking Recap

On Saturday Jan. 14th the Portage Family Skatepark Project benefited from a special charity concert put on by Pohlk’s Pub and popular local band Shadowsonic! The PFSP would especially like to thank the Pohlkamps for hosting this event. The brothers and their family have been very supportive of the project since the beginning and are a wonderful addition to Portage as small business owners. On Saturday they showed that support by supplying some awesome prizes that were raffled off during the show.
The PFSP would also like to thank the band Shadowsonic and congratulate them for playing an awesome show and getting the word out explaining to their fans what the Portage skatepark is all about, being a safe place for kids to Skateboard. Overall the night was a great success for the PFSP raising a total $236.18, which doubles to $472.36 thanks to our challenge grant from the Lenz family.

First and foremost, what a great turnout at last nights show! It was great to see so many faces old and new come out to support the Portage Family skate park project and ShadowSonic. We were very honored to be asked to perform for this fundraiser. We are always up for doing shows for projects/fundraisers to help the community. There is no better feeling then supporting local causes. We as a band, love to see activities arise for kids to do, to keep them active, motivated and interested. The Portage Skate Park Project is definitely one of those. The Portage community needs more of this and we are happy to help get the word out.

Every donation counts! Every person who donates makes it one step closer to a great skate park for the Portage community! From all of us of ShadowSonic, we thank you for your support! Peace, Love & Rock On!🤘🏼 Jen Skinner Lead Vocals.

Hey Kyle,

I just want to say that I wanted to help support the PFSP by having a concert and raffles to help make money for the additions wanted to be made to the portage skate park. I feel like it’s a great thing to have available for young kids in portage. It’s nice to have an activity for kids to do to help keep them out of trouble and in a safe place in town that parents feel comfortable letting them do so. I want to thank you, Kyle Little, for help making this fundraiser a great success. I would also like to thank Jen Skinner and Shadowsonic for performing for the night that help bring in plenty of people that help donate.

Thanks,

Adam Pohlkamp
