Elks & PFSP came to Feed.

On 4/21/18 the PFSP hosted a spaghetti feed with the help of the Portage Elk’s Lodge #675. With anticipation building all week and snow flying we all hoped for a little sunshine and warm hearts and the community of Portage didn’t disappoint. With Dan Foss and family purchasing items for the feed with PERS donated money during some pretty snowy weather and Sue Turner working many hours to prep the hall and set the kitchen the event came into full swing.

Head cook Maeline Bottoni making her special spaghetti sauce this was going to be a surly a successful event. As Kyle Little president of the PFSP marketed the event it grew and grew with many RSVP and even caught the eye of Cory Otto and the team at Turning point reality who sponsored the event. Special thanks to Nicky Strube Cross and family for the donation of baked goods to top off the night after such a well cooked meal from Maeline and Sue. Thanks to the Elk’s Lodge for the rental of the Lodge and inviting the public to see what Elk’s do in our community.

On this day we served 101 people from young and old and from every walk of life. With many other events to choose from on this particular day we are very thankful for those who made this event such a success. Portage has so much Pride and we cant thank you enough. Together we raised $1,500 and thanks to the June & Edward Lenz charitable trust this donation will double making the total $3,000 bringing us that much closer to our phase 2 goal.
