It’s an Official Win
It’s an official win! The Portage Family Skate Park has found support for its vision not only from community residents, but from Portage city officials, because the leadership and volunteers are getting the job done with excellence! On Tuesday, March 15, 2016 Steve Sobiek, Director of Business Development and Planning for the city of Portage, attended the PFSP public meeting to show big support for the Portage Family Skate Park. His message “There are so many things happening in Portage right now” and the PFSP is a big part of it. Steve is excited about what the Skate Park has accomplished and believes there is more to come. So much that he submitted the PFSP project for the official Columbia County Tourism Award. Steve sees big potential in the Skate Park bringing more economic development to the city of Portage and explained that PFSP events are creating real economic impact in Portage. When the vision is right and city officials show up to support, it’s an official win!
