Blarney Stone Chili Cook Off 2016!

Blarney Stone Chili Cook Off!
There are few things more “Wisconsin” than a Packers game, on a Snowy day with good people, and Chili!
On Sun. Dec 11th the Portage Family Skatepark Project was elated to be the recipients of funds raised during  Malone’s Blarney Stone Chili Cook off! The competition was definitely heated this year with a whopping 15 entries of chili, both from individuals and business owners in the Portage area!
After some considerable taste testing this years judges came to a consensus as to the best chili. B&B Hitching Post took first place, while second place went to David Cobb’s chili, and John Dekeryl’s chili took third place. Great Job guys! we hope to see you back defending your titles next year!
The Portage Family Skatepark project would like to thank: Paula’s Place; Brian N; Tom Gessner; Kevin Malone; David & Linda Gonzagowski; Pohlk’s Pub; Daniel Bare; Sunrise Cafe; Two Rivers Coffee Co.; Portage Cafe; Mike Olsen & Mindi Miller. Every one enjoyed tasting such a wide variety of chilies. We raised $200 with an extra $1000 (by anonymous) person for a total of $1200 added to the total funds raised this week for the PFSP! May your Holidays be happy! and Go Pack Go! Special thanks to the judges this year Dan Robson, John Derkeryl’s and Dan Mossholder.
